Training plans are created with the client in order to ensure that you and your staff will have the tools and the knowledge to operate your site from day one. Additional Cloud Instance

Your Upshot Commerce platform is installed onto a sophisticated computer network. We call this network a "cloud system." Your cloud is your home on this system. You add as many clouds as you need to meet your business requirements.

Redundancy

Even though our data center and servers are constantly monitored and managed for security and data integrity, you can never have enough "fail safe" options when it comes to online business. As you increase the number of clouds, your redundancy increases! For example, with 5 clouds, you will have your website on 5 separate instances, each synchronizing data from the master server. In addition, when you have two or more clouds, you also get a mirrored database. This database is designated to synchronize data from the master database in real-time. It is used for fail over purposes in case of database server failure. We highly recommend at least 2 clouds for additional peace of mind.

What is a Cloud Instance?

Your Upshot Commerce platform is installed onto a sophisticated computer network system. We call this network a Cloud System. Your cloud is your home on this system. You add as many clouds as you need to meet your business requirements.

I sell more than 18,000 items. What do I do?

Every cloud instance enables you to sell an additional 6,000 items.
Example: If you have 25,000 items then you would need to add 2 additional clouds. This will give you enough to sell 30,000 items.
Let's look at the math:
2 * 6,000 = 12,000 from your new clouds plus 18,000 from your original cloud.

What about performance? I have a high traffic site!

Here is the great thing about clouds. Each additional cloud increases your performance. As a rule of thumb, if your business does 35/orders a day, then one cloud is great for you. For every additional set of 35 orders/day, you may want to add another cloud.
Example: Your business does 20 orders/day. You original cloud will perform great for you.
Your business does 100 orders a day. You may want to add 3 additional clouds.

Subscribing to the white label edition of the Upshot Commerce Platform will enable you to remove all Upshot Commerce branding from your public-facing web site, plus the following:

  • Vanity URL Management System Extension;
